The Clear Hills Properties

Ironstone holds a 100% interest on 15 metallic and industrial minerals permits and leases, encompassing over 200,000 acres in the Clear Hills region.

The focus of the company’s Winter 2008 Program was to determine measured resources on the Rambling Creek lease. The company sampled sampling iron in over 1,265 of recovered core, with lab results confirming iron and vanadium grades to be reported in a NI 43-101 report.

The company plans to follow up with a winter program to drill the N. Whitemud property in late 2010.

The Clear Hills properties are notable for having relatively thin overburden and low stripping ratios, thereby making these properties optimal and economical for open pit mining.

Alberta Energy estimates there are 240 million tons of Lignite “A” coal in the Clear Hills adjacent to Ironstone’s properties, suitable for providing thermal and electrical energy and direct reduced iron ore processing.
